As per my knowledge, there are 3 types broadly and then their variations:

1. Tank Bag
2. Tail bags
3. Saddlebags

I have promised to drop my Recommendations in the here so here you go

Tank Bag – I use Dirtsack Forester Magnetic tank bag But I also recommend
